Granted to an information professional to recognize a lifetime of achievement as well as beyond exceptional service to special librarianship.

2009 Rose L. Vormelker Award

Presented to an SLA member in good standing who is mid-career for beyond exceptional services in area of mentoring students and/or working professionals.

2009 Hall of Fame

Presented to an SLA member in good standing at or near the end of their active professional career to recognize service and contribution to the Association. Spots in the SLA Hall of Fame are also granted for prolonged distinguished service of an SLA Unit (chapter or division) that has contributed to the success of the Association as a whole.

2009 Rising Stars

Presented to recognize new members showing exceptional promise of leadership and contribution to the association and profession. The award is presented to outstanding SLA member with 1-5 years of information professional experience.

2009 Dow Jones Leadership Award
